My Story

My name is T.J. Wilson and I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska! As soon as I could walk, I was in hockey skates. I started traveling competitively when I was 9. I’ve played all over Canada and the US. I joke that other than my mother, my first true love was hockey. My passion for the game of hockey is still there, you can still catch me on the hockey rink every week.


I wasn’t going to be the biggest guy on the rink, so my dad got me into working out so that I could at least be one of the strongest. I started lifting in the garage when I was 12 and haven’t stopped since. For me, exercise and weightlifting has turned into what I like to call- aggressive meditation. The sense of accomplishment and endorphins that you get when you’re done is a big selling point for me. I think it’s so important to have an outlet from our stressful day to day activities and exercise gives you the right dose of what you need.


I have 15 years of experience in personal training and I’m always finding ways to better myself for my clients. I strive to get a new certification every year to ensure that I’m knowledgeable enough to help anyone that walks through the door. I’ve done some stand up comedy, so I try my best to bring hard work and laughter together during each session!


Whatever your fitness goals are, I feel very confident in getting you there while not hating the process. Our time spent together is designed specifically for you and what your body responds well to. I incorporate boxing and kickboxing to keep things fun, traditional and functional weightlifting to put some lean mass on your body and increase overall strength.

 

Assisted full body stretching paired with my new recovery tools called body tempering, to get your body lengthened out and moving properly. Some people say it’s better than massage. Bold statement, I know! Book with me today and give me the opportunity to be your fitness facilitator.
